Sustainable Development Goals or SDGs is a United Nations initiative that is being led by the United Nations Development Program [UNDP], which focuses on a universal call-to-action to end poverty, protect the planet and ensure that all people enjoy peace and prosperity.

The strategic plan focuses on key areas with 17 Goals, encompassing poverty alleviation, democratic governance and peacebuilding, climate change and disaster risk, and economic inequality.

Our planet faces massive economic, social and environmental challenges.

  • To combat these, SDGs define global priorities and aspirations for 2030.
  • SDGs represent an unprecedented opportunity to eliminate extreme poverty and put the world on a sustainable path.
  • And outline how Asian Hoteliers can play a key role in accomplishing the Agenda.
