Kathy has more than 30 years of experience garnered from working in various hospitality institution starting from London after her graduation from Middlesex Polytechnic (currently known as the Middlesex University)
Driven by her passion for the Asian Hospitality she decides to return to Malaysia taking on various roles culminating in her current position as the Hotel Manager at the Savv Hotel Penang. The property is located within the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Georgetown. She believes Sustainable Development ensures long term viability and the current pandemic has exposed many of the shortfalls of the current business model.
Kathy having spent most of her career in the Rooms / Housekeeping Department has seen many talented associates grow and move up the ladder in the hospitality field. She is a firm believer that the industry provides various opportunities for the hospitality associates however the path can be made easier through structured training and development plan.
