- Christopher Raj has been the a pillar in the hotel industry – HR for more than 39 years. He joined the Shangri-La Kuala Lumpur in 1997 as the DHR, is currently holding the position of Area Director of Human Resources-Industrial Relations.
- He holds Bachelor’s Degree in science with a Postgraduate Diploma in Human Resources Management and Industrial Relations.
- Received the title Kesatria Mangku Negara (KMN) from the King in June 2015
- Certified trainer for many programs and has attended numerous training locally and overseas
- Author of three books, titled ‘Chronicles with God” one, two and three
- President AHE, Association of Hotel Employers
- Former, Vice President MEF, council member currently
- Board member MEF Academy
- Member of National Labor Advisory Council since 2008 to Current
- Served as Member of HRDF Council (alternate) since 2006 until May 2019

- Best Human Resources Department in the hotel Industrial – by Hospitality Asia (2004)
- Received Human Resources Minister’s Award for contribution in Developing Human Resources by Human Resources Development Centre.(2004)
- National Human Resources Excellence Award by Malaysian Institute of Human Resources. (2005)
- Best Human Resources Team in the Shangri-la Group beating 47 other properties in the Group.(2004)
- Won the Prime Minister’s Quality Award in 1997
