In February 2026, Asianhotelier.org and APU celebrated a significant first — 14 hospitality professionals from Impiana KLCC Hotel, Kuala Lumpur, became the inaugural graduates of the Professional Certificate in Hospitality Supervision. Completing three modules over three months, each participant demonstrated commitment to raising their professional standard — and proved that structured, industry-led learning works.

Building capable supervisors is one of the most important investments a hotel can make. The Supervisory Series is designed for hospitality professionals who are ready to move beyond task execution and take ownership of team performance, service consistency, and day-to-day operational leadership.

Hotelier Series

The Hotelier Series is built for the people who are the backbone of the industry. Designed for managers and cross-functional leaders, this series develops the integrative skills, business acumen, and people leadership competencies that define a true Hotelier in practice, not just in title.

The Hotelier Series is structured as a progression of Professional Certificates. Each certificate consists of three modules. Participants who complete all three Professional Certificates — nine modules in total — are awarded the Executive Diploma in Hotel Management, co-certified by Asia Pacific University of Technology & Innovation (APU).

Programmes in this series are aligned to the Asianhotelier.org Competency Framework at the Hotelier level.

Professional Certificate in Finance & Revenue Management

Many operational managers who excel in service delivery have had limited exposure to the financial and commercial frameworks that drive business performance. This certificate closes that gap — building the commercial judgement, financial awareness, and decision-making capability that mid-level managers need to step confidently into senior roles.

Builds managers' understanding of the external business environment — demand patterns, customer mix, competitive landscape, and how market conditions influence operational and financial outcomes.

Focuses on how operational managers directly influence revenue through execution quality and informed decisions — exploring the relationship between volume, rate, demand, and revenue performance.
